What is a BCBA?
A Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) uses the science of behaviour to help individuals build functional skills and increase their quality of life.
What Do BCBAs Do?
Assess the why, when, and where of a behaviour
Create individualized treatment plans targeting communication, social skills, daily living skills, regulation, and more
Use positive behaviour support strategies to help individuals reach their goals
Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals (SLPs, OTs, etc.)
Track progress using data to make meaningful decisions
Follow ethical and evidence-based practices
Support individuals across all ages and settings (home, centre, community, daycare/school)
Help families navigate appropriate support and resources for their child
